Full Joy Counseling

Sherill Hatch, Certified Psychosynthesis Counselor

Welcome to Full Joy!

I am currently accepting new clients in my counseling practice in Amherst and Shutesbury, Massachusetts. I count it a great honor to accompany clients on a part of their life's journey--witnessing the joys of their travels and lending compassion and support when the going gets tough. I would welcome the chance to meet with you and explore the possibility of our working together.

My Beliefs

Right at this moment you already have within you all the wisdom, strength, and healing power you need. Our work together will help you uncover your own unique resources. Looking inside, you'll find whatever it is that will enable you to work through your current challenges and access the joy that is your birthright.

Your soul's yearnings are the signposts showing you your life's purpose. Decipher and follow them and you can fulfill your highest potential.

Every crisis is an invitation to grow, an opportunity for more of your soul to emerge.

The therapy process is a sacred one: deeply creative, awe-inspiring, often mysterious. . . and fun!

My Strengths

Clients say that my compassionate presence allows them to grow in their own ways and at their own pace.

I'm willing to work as deeply with pain and trauma as a client is ready to. I honor the darkest places in each of us for the wisdom that dwells in those places.

I help clients to balance their spirit and earth energies, blending deep spiritual awareness with full, grounded engagement in day-to-day life.

Clients say they feel truly seen by me and that my insights are right on target, going straight to the core of their issues.

  • . . . and more!

      What is Psychosynthesis?

I am a certified psychosynthesis counselor. Psychosynthesis, as the name implies, synthesizes a wide variety of approaches to create a supportive environment for growth and change. Psychosynthesis practitioners believe that each of us--and all of life--has a natural tendency toward wholeness. It follows that clients enter counseling seeking help with a process they're already engaged in on their own: synthesizing the various split-apart aspects of their personality into an ever-larger, more harmonious whole. So the psychosynthesis process is a client-directed one which honors the needs and gifts of body, emotions, mind, and spirit. The work is both spiritual and practical: in a session a client might delve deeply into childhood wounding or experience a powerful sense of connection to their higher self; in either case the session will conclude with "homework" to help ground the new growth in the client's daily life. http://www.synthesiscenter.org/
